St Newlyn East has a Traditional Village Pub, Shop, Church and Chapel, a Butchers Shop and a very active Village Hall. Village football and cricket are played here in their respective seasons. There is ample parking in the village which is especially popular with walkers, cyclists and horse-riding enthusiasts. St.Newlyn East is ideally situated for all of Cornwall's fantastic beaches of soft golden sand, that are amongst the very best in the world. Newquay, which is known all over the world as the surf capital of the UK is just 10 short minutes away.
St.Newlyn East is surrounded by a whole host of fine dining establishments - all within a few miles. But, for great meals at a reasonable price you can do no better than eat at our very own local pub The Pheasant Inn, which is just 3 doors up the road from Village B&B and on the same side.
The views across the Cornish Countryside from the house to the distant sea are quite outstanding.
You are never very far away from the sea in Cornwall and on clear days you can see across the fields to Newquay in the distance, with the deep blue of the Atlantic ocean right behind it. Huge tankers and cruise ships can often be seen in these very busy shipping lanes.
To get to St Newlyn East from the main A30 trunk road proceed west past the Summercourt turnings and exit the A30 at the village of Mitchell. Go straight through the village of Mitchell and you will come to St Newlyn East on the same road after about 2 and a half miles.
